Blau-Weiss Linz has completed its goalkeeping trio: Alongside Valentin Oelz, Christopher Giuliani and Marcel Köstenbauer will prevent opposing teams from scoring in the future.

What happened?

The 27-year-old Giuliani joins from First Vienna FC, a rival in the same league, and receives a contract until 2028. He was previously the backup goalkeeper and made six appearances in the 2nd league for the Vienna-based team.

Why is this important for Blau-Weiss Linz?

Sporting director Christoph Schösswendter said: „With Christopher Giuliani, we gain a goalkeeper who, with his qualities, professional attitude, and experience, will become an important part of the team.“ The 24-year-old Köstenbauer, on the other hand, joins from SV Ried and signs a contract until 2027.
