Blau-Weiss Linz loses 0-3 to GAK on the last day of the qualification group and is thus relegated from the ADMIRAL Bundesliga. The first chance belongs to the hosts, Ronivaldo heads the ball just past the post in the sixth minute after a free kick.
What happened?
Immediately after, GAK strikes: Seidl cannot secure the long pass deep in the Linz half and must leave the ball to Lichtenberger. He immediately shoots and scores from 25 meters with a shot that goes in off the post.
The Linzers stumble early
Blau-Weiss is visibly shocked by the early deficit and takes a long time to get into the game against the more agile Graz team. Blau-Weiss goalkeeper Mantl has to make two strong saves against Harakate to prevent further goals.
The second half
The second half starts like the first: with an early GAK goal. Olesen goes deep on the left and passes back to Hofleitner, who scores from about five meters.
| Player | Goals |
|---|---|
| Lichtenberger | 1 |
| Hofleitner | 1 |
| Maderner | 1 |
The consequences
When GAK goalkeeper Stolz makes a top save to prevent Maranda from scoring, the situation escalates. Beer cups fly from the stands, and GAK defender Pines is hit in the face.
