Blau-Weiss Linz loses one of the most influential players of the last years. Stefan Haudum, who played for Admira in the last two years, joins FC Hertha Wels. The 31-year-old center-back was captain in some games for Admira and will now continue his career in Upper Austria. Sport Director Rene Swete on the new signing: "With Stefan, we succeed in bringing one of the most influential players of the last years from the ADMIRAL 2. Liga to Wels. He brings not only great quality on his position, but has also repeatedly demonstrated his leadership qualities in the past years, both on and off the pitch." Haudum has played for Admira, Blau-Weiss Linz, LASK, and Altach in the past. In the Bundesliga, the native Upper Austrian played 107 games, and in the 2. Liga, it's 124 so far. "I'm very happy to be able to play for Wels now. I've been following the development of the last months and I'm happy to be a part of it now. The exchange with the sports director was always very honest and good and also the conversation with the coach convinced me to sign here", says Haudum.
